A little about us

Who are we

Wealth Claims Bureau is a trading name of Vehicle Direct Redress Ltd (Company No. 16486558), regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 1036495). We are a claims management company specialising in investment, wealth-management and pension advice complaints. We are not a law firm, and we do not provide legal, tax or investment advice. Our job is to help you put a clear, well-evidenced complaint to the firm that advised you, and, if needed, to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Investment & Wealth Management Complaints

What we help with

We focus on complaints about how UK wealth, investment and pension advice firms treated their customers. Whether you have a valid complaint always depends on your own circumstances, we tell you honestly.

Ongoing advice and service fees

Most common

Many people pay an ongoing advice or service fee, often a percentage of their investments each year, in return for at least an annual review. If you paid that fee but did not receive the reviews or ongoing service you were promised, you may have grounds to ask for those fees back.

Transfers and switches

If you were advised to transfer or switch a pension or investment, for example into a new product, platform or the adviser’s own funds, and it was not right for you through higher charges, lost guarantees or no real benefit, you may have a complaint.

Investment advice

If you were advised to invest in something that did not match your circumstances, goals or attitude to risk, you may have a complaint. This is not about investments that simply went down in value; it is about whether the advice was suitable for you.

Pension drawdown and retirement advice

Higher value

If you were advised on how to take your retirement income and it did not suit your need for security or sustainable income, or an annuity or a valuable guarantee was not properly considered, you may have a complaint.

Charges and disclosure

If charges were unclear or poorly explained, you were not told about an exit penalty, or a materially cheaper option was not mentioned, you may have a complaint. This is about whether you were given clear, fair information, not simply about whether charges were high.

Vulnerable customer treatment

If you were unwell, recently bereaved, or otherwise needed extra support at the time, and the firm did not treat you fairly or make reasonable adjustments, that may strengthen or form the basis of a complaint.

Ombudsman escalation

If you have already complained to a firm and it was rejected, or you think the compensation offered was too low, we can review whether it is suitable to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, which is free to you. Strict time limits apply.

These are general descriptions. Whether you actually have a valid complaint depends on your own circumstances and the evidence, which we will assess with no obligation. We do not give investment, tax or legal advice.

our Process

How It Works

We've made the process as simple as possible. Most customers spend less than 60 seconds submitting their request. We then will call for a quick, exploratory chat to see if you may have a claim moving forward.

  1. 01

    No-Obligation Initial Review

We look at your paperwork and explain, in plain English, whether your case appears to have an arguable basis. We'll tell you honestly if it doesn't.

  2. 02

    Evidence & Complaint

We gather the right documents and after your 14-day cooling-off period we put a clear, fact-specific complaint to the firm.

  3. 03

    Outcome and Escalation

We keep you updated and, where suitable and with your agreement, escalate to the Financial Ombudsman Service (free to you). Using us doesn't make the firm or the Ombudsman act faster.

“We exist to help wealth-management customers who feel their adviser let them down, without overpromising, without pressure, and always with the free direct route on the table.”

PLEASE NOTE: compensation is paid directly to you. Our success fee is paid to us by bank transfer within 14 days of redress clearing in your account. There is never an upfront fee.
