What we help with
Charges and disclosure
If charges were unclear or poorly explained, you were not told about an exit penalty, or a materially cheaper option was not mentioned, you may have a complaint. This is about whether you were given clear, fair information, not simply about whether charges were high.
Does this sound familiar?
What people usually tell us
Any one of these may be worth a conversation. None of them decides anything on its own.
Being straight with you
What this is not
High charges alone are not grounds for a complaint. The question is whether you were given clear, fair and not misleading information about them.
Not everyone who asks has a complaint worth pursuing, and we would rather say so early than take on a case that goes nowhere. Many firms are also contacting affected customers and refunding them directly, for free. If that route is open to you, we will tell you to take it.
If we look at it
What helps us assess it
You do not need all of this to get in touch. If you no longer have these documents, we can usually request them from the firm on your behalf.
These are general descriptions. Whether you actually have a valid complaint depends on your own circumstances and the evidence, which we will assess with no obligation. We do not give investment, tax or legal advice.
Get an honest view, free
There is no cost and no obligation. If we do not think you have a case, or you would be better off going direct, we will tell you.
