Cookies and storage
Cookies and site storage
What this site keeps in your browser, why, and how to get rid of it.
Cookies
We set no cookies for advertising or analytics. There are no tracking pixels, and nothing here follows you to other websites.
While the site is a private preview it sets one cookie, and only after you enter the preview password:
- Your preview access — so you are not asked for the password on every page. It holds no personal information and no readable copy of the password, only a one-way fingerprint of it, and it expires after seven days. It disappears entirely when the site goes live and the password is removed.
What we do store
We keep two small items in your browser’s local storage. Both are written only after you do something, both stay on your device, and neither is sent to us or to anyone else.
- Your choice about this notice — recorded when you dismiss the banner, so we do not ask again on every page. It holds the date, and which categories of storage you agreed to. Nothing is stored until you dismiss the banner.
- Whether you closed the announcement bar — the slim bar at the top of the page. It holds only which message you closed.
Neither identifies you. Neither is readable by any other website. Both are covered by the same rules as cookies, which is why they are set out here rather than left unsaid.
Analytics and advertising
We do not currently use any. If that changes, this page will describe exactly what is used and why before anything is switched on, and you will be asked first. A choice you make today will not be treated as agreement to something added later.
Removing it or changing your mind
Reopen the notice at any time with Cookie settings, which is in the footer of every page. You can also clear site data through your own browser settings, which removes both items above. The site works normally without them; you will simply be asked again.
Your information more generally
Browser storage is a small part of how we handle your data. Our privacy notice covers what we collect when you make an enquiry, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights over it.
Questions about any of this can go to info@thewealthclaimsbureau.co.uk.
